This is a revolutionary new type of desiccant moisture absorber originally created to protect goods from the damp whilst being shipped in 40ft cargo containers.
It has an extremely powerful absorption capacity and can remove up to 150% its own weight of moisture from an atmosphere. This is in contrast to silica-based products that can only absorb 15-25% of their weight.
The Superdry Pole contains 1kg of a high-tech, food-grade polymer that turns to gel as it absorbs moisture. At high humidities it can absorb up to 10g of moisture per day.
It has a plastic hook at one end that makes it ideal for hanging in sheds, vans, shipping containers, lorries, caravans, the back of doors in boats, cupboards, cabinets, lockers or in a wardrobe.
Superdry Pole is effective in areas up to 10m³ and will remain effective for up to six weeks. After this time, or when it weighs around 3kg, simply throw it away and replace it with another.
Unlike other silica-based dehumidifiers, Superdry is 100% safe to use as it is a food-grade material. Silica-based moisture absorbers are potentially carcinogenic if the silica ever turns to dust. Click here to read an article on this.
Superdry Pole's outer casing is made of a one-way, spun-bound Tyvek material that will only allow moisture to travel in. Added to the fact that Superdry turns to gel during the absorption process and it guarantees no leaks of the collected moisture.
