The Limemaster Gold is designed to prevent scale on an individual appliance such as a washing machine, dishwasher, coffee machine, vending machine, etc.
It is an environmentally friendly non-polluting magnetic scale inhibitor and is easily connected to the incoming mains water pipe for the appliance to be protected. It can be fitted to 15mm copper pipe.
The Limemaster Gold works by passing a flow of fresh water through a high quality pressure tested polyethylene plastic body in which a powerful ceramic magnet is mounted. A small electrical charge is placed on the water particles, which alters the behaviour of hard water-soluble salts, which are in the solution. The salts thus remain in solution longer whenever water is heated thus avoiding early scale formation. Any crystals that do form are in aragonite form (needle crystals) which is less adhering to metal surfaces and tend to be washed through a system.
The Limemaster Gold does not alter the water's mineral composition in anyway, so the water still complies with the health regulations laid down by the UK and EU Water Utilities, as well as the World Health Organisation for drinking water.
Magnetic treatment of water should only be used for water that is to be processed immediately or within a short space of time. The electrical charge will eventually be lost and the protection provided will also be lost. Therefore magnetic units are not suitable for stored water.
