This is a new type of desiccant moisture absorber for use in storage areas, cabins of boats, caravans, sheds, garages and other poorly ventilated areas up to 14m³.
It will absorb up to 150% its own weight in moisture as it turns from a powder into a gel. This is in contrast to silica-based products that can only absorb 15-25% of their weight.
Unlike other silica-based dehumidifiers, Superdry is 100% safe to use as it is a food-grade material. Silica-based moisture absorbers are potentially carcinogenic if the silica ever turns to dust.
Superdry's 1.4kg of desiccant is contained in 7x200g bags connected to each other. It has a plastic hook at one end to suspend it from the walls or roofs of sheds, vans, lorries, caravans, across cabins in boats, or in a large walk-in wardrobe.
Superdry's outer casing is made of a one-way, spun-bound Tyvek material that will only allow moisture to travel in. Added to the fact that Superdry turns to gel during the absorption process and it guarantees no leaks of the collected moisture.
1.4kg Superdry desiccant is effective in areas up to 14m³ and will remain effective for up to six weeks. After this time, or when it weighs around 3.5kg, simply throw it away and replace it with another.
