This is a high output evaporative cooler with an airflow of 900m³ of air per hour. It cools by sucking air into the unit and blowing it out through a moistened filter, the air is cooled by the water's evaporation.
Reducing the temperature of the water in the unit, by putting ice in the water tank, will further cool the temperature of the expelled air
A large 20 litre water tank means that you don't have to regularly fill the tank with new water. When you do a convenient side opening makes topping up with water and ice easy.
A see-through water level indicator on the front makes it easy to see when it needs refilling.
This unit incorporates a negative ion generator. This provides cleaner fresher air due to the electrostatic settling of dust and the invigorating effect of breathing negative ions which are found in abundance in the vicinity of waterfalls and mountain tops. In addition an ioniser can reduce airborne odours due to trace quantities of ozone produced at the tip of the ionisation needles.
This cooler has a built-in timer that can be set to turn the unit off in a set period of time. For example you may wish to use the cooler in your bedroom whilst you go to sleep but have it switch off after one hour so it isn't running all night.
Hints for better cooling - For best performance position the cooler in a location that will create a "flow-through" air effect. The greatest cooling effect will be felt if the unit is operated in a partly opened doorway or window with the "cool" conditioned air directed into the room. It is also important to have a door or window partly opened away from the air cooler, in order to create a the "flow through" effect.
