This great looking evaporative cooler has lots of features and will cool a room using the natural evaporation of water.
By sucking air into the unit and blowing it out through a moistened filter, the air is cooled by the water's evaporation.
Reducing the temperature of the water in the unit, by putting ice in the water tank, will further cool the temperature of the expelled air.
For even greater cooling, an internal tubular freezer section can be removed and placed in a freezer, which is then put back in the unit after a few hours. The air passes across this tubular chiller further reducing the temperature of the air being blown out.
This unit incorporates a negative ion generator. This provides cleaner fresher air due to the electrostatic settling of dust and the invigorating effect of breathing negative ions which are found in abundance in the vicinity of waterfalls and mountain tops. In addition an ioniser can reduce airborne odours due to trace quantities of ozone produced at the tip of the ionisation needles.
A concealed Ultra Violet (UV) light inside the unit will help to keep the air and water hygienic and clean by killing microbes and viruses. The fact that the air is being sucked in through a wetted filter also helps to further clean the air and remove airborne pollution.
This cooler has a built-in timer that can be set to turn the unit off in a set period of time. For example you may wish to use the cooler in your bedroom whilst you go to sleep but have it switch off after one hour so it isn't running all night.
Automatically oscillating louvres help distribute the air around the room. Three speed settings can be used for maximum cooling or quieter operation. Also three modes are available; normal, sleep and natural. In normal mode the fan will operate at the set speed, in sleep mode the unit will decrease in operation through the speeds until turning off and in natural mode the unit will provide a variable breeze.
All features are controlled either on the LCD-lit front control panel or the remote control. The LCD display panel also shows date, time and current temperature.
Hints for better cooling - For best performance position the cooler in a location that will create a "flow-through" air effect. The greatest cooling effect will be felt if the unit is operated in a partly opened doorway or window with the "cool" conditioned air directed into the room. It is also important to have a door or window partly opened away from the air cooler, in order to create a "flow through" effect.
