Prior to use
The GNAT should be used in a room temperature environment, please avoid direct sunlight or extreme cold locations. Plug into a regular 220-240v mains supply and ensure the power switch located on top is in the up position and illuminated.
The Incubator should be left for approximately 30 minutes to stabilise then the Dipslide(s) can be loaded as required, the area around the slide wells will become slightly warm to the touch.
The recommended incubation period is 48 hours for total counts and up to 120 hours for yeast & moulds, however in some cases these may be extended – please refer to the instructions for the particular Dipslides you use.
The GNAT features protection against both electrical and overheating faults, in the unlikely event of a fault the red mains light will be no longer lit indicating failure. PLEASE NOTE – the GNAT is sealed and not user-serviceable in the event of failure the unit must be returned to the manufacturer for service.
The GNAT is supplied with a 24 month conditional warranty. In the event of failure we will replace or repair the unit as required providing it has not been subject to abuse or the case has not been opened or tampered with.
