This is our most popular portable air conditioner as it provides a relatively high level of cooling as well as heating. It is very user friendly with a digital remote control and lots of features.

The KYD32 is suitable for the home, office or any small to medium sized room up to 30m².

It is very compact and robust in its design compared to others with the same cooling capacity and the power consumption and noise are especially low.

A thermostatic control will allow you to set your room’s desired temperature, once the temperature is reached the compressor will switch off but the unit will continue to run in fan mode. Once the temperature rises a few degrees above the set point the unit will reactivate the compressor.

As with other portable air conditioners, in order to operate the unit an extraction hose needs to be fed out through a slightly opened door or window. An additional shaped fitting supplied with the KYD32 tapers this hose into a very thin outlet about 5cm wide. This enables it to be vented out of a letterbox or slightly open window.

For a more permanently cooling solution a hole can be drilled through an external wall and the hose attached with the use of the 125mm exhaust vent kit available in the multi-buy section below.

If you are in a large office and not near a window then it is possible to vent the extraction hose above a suspended ceiling. Alternatively, you can buy the 3m exhaust extension hose also available in the multi-buy section below.

During the cooling process this air conditioner will also dehumidify, storing water that condenses inside the unit in a water tank. This tank is easy-to-remove and will pause operation of the unit when full.

The unit has a cooling capacity of 3.2kW and a heating capacity of 2kW. A lot of other internet retailers state this unit's cooling output is 3.5kW or 12,000Btu but this is not correct. Extensive testing has proved that the KYD32 is in fact a 3.2kW unit - but this is still a very good output for a portable air conditioner and will cool a room up to 30m².

The heating feature on this model means that, unlike regular cooling-only models, this unit is not redundant in the winter.
