This air purifier uses a HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) filter in association with an active carbon filter to remove the smallest of airborne particles including pollen, dust, animal hairs, mites, smoke and odours.

It is ideal for a home or office area up to 150m³.

The HEPA filter was originally developed for use in clinical applications and is a breath of fresh air for allergy sufferers. It filters out 99.97% of particles >0.3 micrometres. By way of comparison, a hair has a width of 70-100 micrometres.

The active carbon filter removes gaseous contaminants, unpleasant odours and coarse particles.

The Boneco Air Purifier also incorporates an ionising system that replaces negative ions that have been destroyed by pollution and electronic equipment. Air contamination and electronic appliances such as computers and televisions lead to the breakdown of negative ions in the air. Where there are not enough negative ions, the air feels stale and stuffy. Generating the negative ions again makes the air noticeably clean and fresh.

The negative ions join together with dust particles, forming what are known as clusters. The negative charge these clusters have make them precipitate out of the atmosphere and stick to surfaces leaving the atmosphere clear of pollutants. This is so effective that ionisers are now being used in hospitals to suppress the transfer of air borne viruses.

The air purifier has four power settings, ranging from 1, for quiet night-time use, to Turbo, for quick purification with maximum air circulation.

The Ioniser function can be turned off or on independently when the unit is operating.

Regular filter replacement is a prerequisite for hygienic, trouble-free operation. The active carbon filter should be replaced every six months and the HEPA filter should be replaced every 12 months.
