The Air and Water Centre would recommend the use of this steam humidifier in bedrooms, nursery’s, living rooms or any room up to 40m².

This compact steam humidifier has a removable 2.5 litre water tank so it's easy to fill at the sink and it will release up to 400ml of steam per hour. When used continuously the humidifier has a running time of about 6 hours.

The boiling chamber incorporates a scale catcher ball which is an anti-scale device that will very efficiently reduce limescale build-up; this will help to reduce the level of cleaning required. A scent diffuser enables essential oils to be gently released to add a pleasant aroma to a room.

Depending on the hardness of the water the scale catcher ball would need to be replaced regularly (every 4-6 weeks). To maintain the life of the ball we would recommend that it is cleaned with CalcOff Limescale remover. Replacement scale catcher balls and CalcOff can be purchased from the Multi-Buy section below.

The device seems to work OK, though it doesn't generate very much steam. Also the instruction leaflet indicated that there should have been a pack of five descaling balls included. They were not.

Great product. Quiet enough to use at night in the bedroom, tank big enough to run all night long onthe first setting. Brilliant.

Before purchasing a full review of all machines was done using Excel speadsheet. The ultrasonic machines were discounted after a web search and the Pur Line scored the highest in the review. The first machine performed to requirements and as a consequence a further unit has been purchased. My daughter has consequently recommended it to many friends who, after purchase, gave similar positive feedback.

I am very pleased with this humidifier. It is very simple to operate and to clean. On the low setting I have had it running continuously for 8 hours. It has a pleasant appearance. I have it working all night in my bedroom and it is very quiet.

Have not had sufficient time to review the product fully. But on the face of it, it seems to fit my requirements adequately. However the instruction documentation supplied with it does not reflect the design of the individual parts correctly and can lead to some confusion.

This is a very quiet and effective humidifier. I am pleased with it as it produces just the right amount of humdity when used in conjuction with the Humidistat and is relatively quiet. Apart from the occasional gurgling noise I hardly notice it is on.

Works well. Tank is easy to remove and fill, and because it isn't too large it is easier to carry when full than the tank from a previous humidifier I had. It's handy to have 2 settings to regulate the amount of humidification. I keep mine on the lower setting most of the time and it does the job - no headaches or dry skin from the central heating. The "scale catcher" balls help to reduce limescale, but it does still need regular descaling - a bit of a pain, but unavoidable. The rubber pads on the feet are a good idea, especially for a wooden floor. My previous model didn't have these and I had to stick felt pads on. Overall, I would recommend this product.

This is the third humidifer (of different brands) I have bought and the only one that worked properly. Thank you.

Probably only a domestic appliance as the reservoir and output are limited by the overal size. However simple to use, elegant design and effective.
