Returning an Item
|
 |
Would you like to return an item to us? |
If you purchased an item from us using our website and wish to return it you will need to:
1 - Log-in to your account and select the item you wish to return from your order history.
2 - Answer a few questions so we can process your return as swiftly as possible.
3 - Print off the returns form and label provided on screen.
4 - Please re-pack the item in its original packaging to return it to us. If you no longer have the original packaging, we advise you to use suitable packaging that will protect the product from damage in-transit and therefore fulfill your duty of care towards it.
5 - Put the returns form inside the packaging and the returns label on the outside.
6 - Call our courier service, UPS, on 08457 877 877 to arrange a suitable time for the package to be collected from yourself (you must provide a two-hour window, Mon-Fri from 9am-4pm).
UPS will then collect the package and return it safely to us. You will be notified when we receive it and the outcome of your return via email. All refunds and exchanges due will be made within 30 days of the cancellation.
If you are returning an item because it was faulty or we made a mistake with your order, we will pay for the courier service. If you are returning an item during the statutory seven-day cooling off period or due a product selection error made by yourself, the cost of the
return service will be deducted from the total refunded. On average this cost is around £7.50 per item.

Cancelling an item |
|
To cancel or change an order before it has been dispatched please contact us on 01903 858657. If your order has not yet been shipped, the order will be cancelled as per your request with no additional charge to you. If you were charged for the product your credit card will be credited. You will receive an email confirmation upon our cancellation of the order.

Statutory Cooling Off Period |
Since 31 October 2000 UK, consumers have had the right to cancel their contract within a "cooling off period" which lasts seven working days from the day after you took delivery of the item (the day on which the item was delivered and signed for).
If you wish to return the item during the seven day statutory cooling off period, please return it to us using the procedure detailed above.
In the event that you cannot find another item from the Air and Water Centre that you would like that is of equivalent or higher value (in which case we will offset the original cost of the returned item against the more expensive item), the purchase price will be refunded to your credit card, less the cost of courier services for
return of the item.

WEEE Regulations
|
The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive is now UK law.
The legislation aims to make producers pay for the collection, treatment and recovery
of waste electrical equipment. The regulations also mean that suppliers of equipment
like high street shops and internet retailers must allow consumers to return their
waste equipment free of charge.
The amount of WEEE we throw away is increasing by around 5% each year, making it the
fastest growing waste stream in the UK.
Much of the UK’s WEEE ends up in landfill, where the lead and other toxins it contains can
cause soil and water contamination. This can have a harmful effect on natural habitat, wildlife
and also human health.
Many electrical items that we throw away can be repaired or recycled. Recycling items helps to
save our natural finite resources and also reduces the environmental and health risks associated
with sending electrical goods to landfill.
Distributors of new Electric and Electronic Equipment (EEE) have a part to play in reducing the
amount of WEEE going into landfill sites.
www.airandwatercentre.com is obliged under these regulations to offer our customers free
take-back of their WEEE on a like-for-like basis when they buy a new Electrical or Electronic
product from us.
For example, if a customer bought a new fan from us we would accept their old fan and prevent
it going into a landfill site by disposing of it safely. Customers must return their WEEE item
to us within 28 days of purchasing their new item.
Under the WEEE Regulations, all new electrical goods should now be marked with the crossed-out
wheeled bin symbol shown below:

Goods are marked with this symbol to show that they were produced after 13th August 2005, and should
be disposed of separately from normal household waste so that they can be recycled.
