This stylish Plasma tower air purifier will neutralise 97% of viruses and bacteria. Suitable for areas up to 40m².
The plasma air purifier takes the air through a five stage filtration process. The first stage is a pre-filter which removes large particle contaminants such as dust and pet dander.
The second stage is a Ultra Violet lamp. This U.V. lamp is used for sterilisation against micro organisms and acts as a supplement to the Ti02 filter medium in stage 4.
Stage three and four are the Active Carbon filter and the Titanium Oxide (Ti02). The active carbon filter will absorb harmful gases and odours. The titanium oxide is active under U.V. light and will deodorises and kills any airborne bacteria, reducing the impact of germs and viruses.
The fifth and final stage is the plasma generator. This will generate negatively charged oxygen which will remove contaminates such as fungi, viruses, microbes, bacteria, mold spores and dust mites.
As well as the filtration process this air purifier has a built in ioniser, the ioniser will add negative ions to the air replacing those which have been destroyed by pollution and electronic equipment. Adding negative ions will make the air feel fresh and clean.
The unit is simple to use with an on/off button for constant use or there is a built in timer, up to 8 hours, with an auto shut off. All operations for this unit are controllable via its remote control.
The unit has 3 fan speeds with a maximum decibel rating of 30 dB(a), on the lowest fan speed the unit is barely audible.
For added safety the unit has an anti tilt mechanism that will disrupt the power to the appliance if tilted or turned on its side.
Regular filter replacement is a prerequisite for hygienic, trouble-free operation. The filter should be changed every 6 months, depending on use. The U.V. lamp will typically give 6,000 hours of continuous operation.
