The Biomed101 air purifier takes the air through 4 filter stages before providing you with clean air. The first stage of cleaning is a dust filter which captures large particles such as fluff, dust, pollen, pet dander, etc.
A Biostop screen is the next stage of filtration, this part of the air purifier acts effectively on bacteria, mould and viruses that can cause allergies, infections, asthma etc. Any smaller airborne particles that have made it through the dust particle will be caught by the HEPA filter. The HEPA filter will remove 99.97% of any remaining micro particles up to 0.03 microns.
The final stage of filtration is the active carbon filter, this filter will remove odours and toxic gases through its absorption process. As well as the filters the Biomed101 air purifier has a built in ioniser which will replace negative ions that have been destroyed by pollution and electronic equipment making the air feel clean and fresh.
Biomed101 air purifier is simple to use with an on/off switch for constant use, alternatively there is a built in timer with auto shut off after 1, 2, 4 or 8 hours.
There are 3 speed settings and on the lowest setting the fan is barely audible. Also provided with the Biomed101 air purifier is a lemon fragrance cartridge alternatively if you didn’t wish to use the fragrance cartridge you can place a small cup with some essential oils in to fragrance your room.
The speed, timer and ioniser can all be controlled by the remote control supplied with the Biomed101 air purifier.
Power consumption for the Biomed101 air purifier is 40W - less than a light bulb.
To keep the air purifier operating at peak efficiency the Biostop/HEPA filter and active carbon filter will need to be changed every 6 months.
