The Air and Water Centre recommends the use of this combination air purifier and humidifier in bedrooms and living rooms. Also for anyone who suffers from hayfever.

The HEPA filters within this unit will remove 99.97% of the smallest airborne particles such as dirt, dust, pollen and animal dander up to 0.03 microns. For comparison the tip of a hair has a size of 70-100 microns.

An active carbon filter will remove odours and harmful gases through its absorption process. The evaporation cartridges will help produce a healthy level of humidity which will reduce the static electricity in the atmosphere and keep dust supressed.

The humidification facility of this unit is self-regulating, providing an optimal, hygienically humidified atmosphere.

To ensure the unit is operating at peak efficiency the filters will need regular replacement, the HEPA filter will need to be replaced annually, the active carbon filter will need to be replaced every 6 months and the evaporator cartridge needs to be replaced every 2-3 months. Replacement filters can be purchased from the Multi-Buy section below.

A high quality fan sucks in the polluted air and circulates it through two HEPA particle filters, which protect against harmful particles such as pollen, dust and spores that are up to 100,000 times finer than a human hair.

The unit then draws the air through a wet mat and returns it to the room, optimally humidified. During the humidification process, the air is also washed, in other words, even more particles and odours are removed. Depending on its temperature, air can only absorb a certain amount of water. The process of evaporation thus provides self-regulating humidification, and as a result, additional control systems are not necessary.

If desired the unit can also inject essential oils into the room making you feel relaxed or invigorated depending on the type of oil selected.
