The Air and Water Centre recommends the use of this evaporative humidifier in living rooms, bedrooms or any room up to 40m².
The 2441 Icon humidifier is one of the few humidifiers to be awarded a prestigious design award for design and functionality.
A funnel-shaped filling port at the upper part the humidifier can easily be filled from above with a watering can and a floating evaporator pad acts as the water level indicator. The airflow is guided over the floating evaporator pad, allowing an almost constant release of moisture regardless of the water level. The pad is wetted with water so that the humidifier is ready for use immediately after filling.
This humidifier works on the self-regulating evaporation principle (air only evaporates as much water as it requires) and thus it requires no additional control systems to ensure optimal air humidity. It is also very economical to run as unlike steam humidifiers, the water doesn’t need to be boiled - it simply evaporates. A fragrance container allows you to add your favourite essential oils to fragrance the room.
To keep the humidifier operating at peak efficiently it is recommended that the evaporative pad be replaced every 2-3 months. The 2441 Icon humidifier also comes with an antibacterial Ionic Silver Stick which will inhibit the development of bacteria and fungi on the evaporator pad.

The air is drawn in through the vents under the unit and pushed through the moist filter which is floating on the water reservoir. The air picks up water vapour from the moist filter and is expelled from the humidifier through the circular air vent at the top of the unit.

Good design, looks good in situ. Your delivery arrangements were impeccable, outstanding even. However, the product is not up to the job. Currently it is struggling to rise above 36% RH, which is not enough for our pianos. I have to say the effective area shown in your online spec was misleading; perhaps you should reconsider how you do this in future. It seemed to us that the effective area of 40 square metres you advertised was absolutely adequate, yet when the product arrived the area was shown in cubic metres, and was quite different. No, I am not suggesting I return the product; indeed if you sold a larger capacity one in BLACK, in the same design, then I would be interested in that as well. Your other designs are simply not acceptable. Certainly we need to boost the humidity output: have you any other ideas? Richard Senior

Our daughter had been suffering from an extended period of asthma symptoms that her medication was only just keeping at bay. We bought the Icon Humidifier two weeks ago and it has been used constantly at night in her bedroom. She is now completely free of asthma and sleeping through the night. The humidifier creates a much more moist air that has certainly helped her and we rate the product very highly. It is easy to use and very elegant for a humidifier!
