This slim line, compact wine fridge can hold up to 18 wine bottles and is ideal for people who enjoy a glass of wine but don’t have the space for larger wine fridges.
This 18 bottle wine fridge has 2 separate zones which enables you to keep red and white wine at different temperatures. Both zones can be can be controlled independently by push button controls and there are 2 LED displays to show the internal temperature of each zone. The temperature for both zones can be set between a range of 6°C – 22°C.
As this 18 bottle wine fridge uses Peltier technology to cool the wine instead of a refrigerant compressor it makes this wine fridge light weight and has an extremely quiet operation, making it ideal to use in a dining room or kitchen. Also Peltier technology is environmentally friendly and costs as much to run as an 100W light bulb.
Peltier technology uses two ceramic plates along with an array of small Bismuth Telluride cubes ("couples") in between. When a DC current is applied heat is moved from one side of the device to the other, where it is removed via a heatsink. This produces a cold surface over which a fan blows air, thus providing cooling to an area.
A convection system circulates the air inside the wine fridge for an even temperature distribution.
