This 2.64kW (9,000Btu) window air conditioner is suitable for areas up to 30mē and is installed through a wall or window. It sits on brackets with two thirds of the unit hanging outside the building and one third inside.

As it heats as well as cools, it is a useful addition to a room throughout the year. It is ideal for use in places like conservatories and temporary buildings.

Unlike a wall-mounted split air conditioner, this removes the need to install separate internal and external components as both jobs are done by one unit.

Also, unlike a portable system you don't need to leave a window slightly open to vent the hot air and it doesn't require any manual condensation drainage as it automatically drains externally.

It is very convenient for rooms that have sash windows, as the unit can be placed on brackets (not supplied) through the window with the sash window simply lowered onto it.

The Linea window air conditioner has two speeds of cooling, heating and fan operation. Louvres can be set to automatically swing horizontally in order to distribute the cool air around the room. Vertical adjustment can be set manually.

The installation of this unit through a wall will need to be handled by someone competent in DIY as it will involved creating a hole through an external wall large enough to fit the entire unit. A slide out chassis makes installation simpler as once the lightweight cabinet is secured in place the main body of the air conditioner is slid back into it.

These units are popular in conservatories as they can be installed through the supporting brickwork around the bottom of the conservatory.
