This ceiling fan has five wooden blades and a frosted glass lampshade.
It is supplied with both 5" and 12" drop rods allowing it to be mounted at a choice of heights depending on how high your room is. The Toronto can also be mounted without a drop rod so that it is flush with its mounting canopy for rooms with low ceilings.
A pull cord turns the fan on as well as controls its three speeds of operation.
A switch on the side of the unit will reverse the rotation of the blades. This reversible rotation feature allows the unit to be used effectively in the winter time to push warm air down from the ceiling where it rises and gathers. By blowing cooler air up from the room to the warmer ceiling area, the hot air is pushed down without creating rapid air movement or drafts allowing you to maintain a warmer temperature at a lower level in the room.
The blades are washed oak on one side and painted white on the other. This allows them to be mounted either way to give a choice of finishes depending on your interior style.
This ceiling fan requires one 60W BC light bulb (not supplied).
