Human hair built into a sword like probe is used to measure relative humidity in a mass of material e.g. textile, tobacco, paper or wood veneers. Simply push the sword into roll of textiles, stack of tobacco or reel of paper and read the material's humidity on the dial.

This classic Swiss made instrument is simple in design, requires no power to run and is made from long-lasting stainless steel.

The metal sword is approximately 50cm long - reaching areas that smaller electric probes could not.

A metal cap for the display dial is included.
