This dehumidifier uses new desiccant technology to remove moisture from an atmosphere. Instead of using a refrigerant compressor to create a cold surface upon which condensation forms and is collected, like usual dehumidifiers, this model simply absorbs water.

A fan draws in moist air and special desiccant material within the unit soaks up the moisture from the air, which is then heated removing the water. The water is deposited in the water tank and warm, dry air is blown back into the room. This also has a very pleasant warming effect on an atmosphere.

Unlike normal refrigerant dehumidifiers the amount of water this system removes isn't affected by the ambient temperature of the room it's in. Even in cold rooms down to 1°C it will remain effective.

Also as it doesn't incorporate a compressor it is extremely light and compact. A carry handle and the fact that it weighs just 6kg makes it easy to move around. As it stands at only 48cm high it is also very convenient to position.

The noise that this dehumidifier makes is also less than a compressor type model. On its lowest setting you can just make out a slight fan noise.

The unit has a built-in ioniser and a special silver coated air filter that kills bacteria on contact, further helping to improve the quality of the air in your home.

This desiccant dehumidifier has a turbo laundry mode for rapid dehumidification ideal for drying clothes inside. An electric louvre on the top directs the warm air exhaust enabling the unit to blow directly onto clothes, further reducing the drying time.

A timer function will turn the unit off in 2, 4 or 8 hours time and an attractive blue light shows that the unit is working.

Ensuring adequate air movement improves effectiveness of the dehumidifier, for this we recommend the use of portable fans particularly for confined spaces e.g. cellars and small rooms.
