The Air and Water Centre recommends the use of this dehumidifier in bathrooms, cellars, garages or any room where the humidity exceeds 60%.
Using this 12 litre dehumidifier under or next to a clothes horse to dry washing the “dry laundry” function increases the output of the unit to minimise the time required to dry wet clothes.
The dehumidifier can be used free standing or wall mounted; installation is made simple with a paper stencil through which the holes are drilled. This allows the holes to be positioned perfectly. Once they are drilled the raw plugs are placed inside and two hooks screwed in to the raw plug upon which the dehumidifier is hung.
Another great feature of this dehumidifier is its auto restart after a power failure. If there is an electrical power failure during operation, the dehumidifier’s last operating mode will be memorised and when power returns, the appliance will resume operation in this mode.
Ensuring adequate air movement improves effectiveness of the dehumidifier, for this we recommend the use of portable fans particularly for confined spaces e.g. cellars and small rooms.

We've now had the chance to use our dehumidifier for about a month, and we're finding it to be extremely good at its job. We've got the dehumidifier in a log cabin with a hot-tub installed, so it was important to us that the unit was able to be safely used in a steamy, humid environment. The unit is IP-rated, allowing its use in this environment (but out of range of any splashing from the hot tub). It goes without saying that the electrics in the log cabin are installed to be waterproof. After using the tub, we open the doors and windows for half an hour or so to allow the worst of the steam out, then close up and leave the dehumidifier to do its job. The cabin is unheated, so the built-in heater of the dehumidifier provides its own heat source which allows the dehumidifier to keep working even when outside temperatures fall (as they did recently for several days to -6 degrees). It does extract a good deal of water from the air. The combination of heater and dehum makes the log cabin very comfortable. The dehumidifier is ideal in our log cabin, but it is quite noisy and when we tried it indoors we found it better to place the unit out in the hallway where the noise wasn't too intrusive. We can certainly recommend this dehumidifier, and we can also highly recommend the service, prices and very quick delivery from Air & Water Centre. P D Walker

This dehumidifier has changed our daughter's shower room from one with a continual condensation problem with constantly wet windows to a nice dry room. We have stopped using the extractor fan which was only sucking all the warm air out but still leaving condensation on windows and as a result the room is also warmer. If we need extra heat in the room prior to showering then we use the heater also. Very pleased with this product and it's not too noisy either.

Excellent dehumidifier in terms of effect. Left running in a small well-insulated bungalow over 2 days it dropped the relative humidity from 70% to around 55% across the entire building. A little noisy for such a small unit - the pitch of the noise is equivalent to a vacuum cleaner, and perhaps two-thirds the volume of such. A lower pitch would be less noticeable. It's still hard to justify the price for the unit despite its excellent performance, but overall it does have a noticeable impact. Supplied fittings and template for wall mounting show some thought has gone into ensuring you can fit the unit. My only disappointment was that the warranty & registration are entirely in Italian!
