This Amcor air conditioner is excellent value for money and is suitable for rooms up to 20m² yet has a width of just 30.5cm making it ideal to slot into small spaces in bedrooms or lounges.

The portable air conditioner weighs 27kg and is on wheels so isn't too large to move around, unlike some other "portable" air conditioners on the market.

The air conditioner dehumidifies a room while it cools but there is no need to empty the water tank as patented NanoMist technology evaporates the moisture through the air extraction hose.

It has digital controls and comes with a remote control. An internal thermostat allows you to set your ideal room temperature (down to 18°C) and have the air conditioner automatically control it for you.

A twelve hour timer enables you to set the air conditioner to turn itself off after a certain amount of time. This is useful when used in a bedroom as the unit can be set to turn off by itself so it doesn't run all night.

Two fan speeds and three modes provide different levels of cooling or fan only operation. In auto mode the air conditioner will select cooling or fan depending on the ambient temperature of the room and the temperature setting on the unit.

The Amcor air conditioner works by drawing hot air into the unit over an evaporator which contains a cold refrigerant. The air is cooled and then blown out the front vents while the hot air created by the compressor is expelled through the rear hose. As with all portable air conditioners, the hose from the rear of unit needs to be positioned out of a slightly open window, door or even a cat flap.

Foam inserts are supplied, to block the gap in a slightly open window, which incorporate a hole to accomodate the air exhaust hose.
